Introducing Joey's Base (aka the JB): our sturdy, foldable thick base that makes up the foundation of our Joey modular play couch. Whether you're looking to expand on your favourite play couch, need a crash / landing pad or just don't have a lot of space, the JB provides the versatility to make it the perfect sidekick or superhero in any home! 

The JB is made up of three (3) pieces:

  • 1 x Thick Foam Base - Two (2) connected pieces of foam with a density of 1.9lb/ft3 and Indentation Load Deflection (ILD - which is a fancy way of measuring firmness) of ~60 for a sturdy but comfortable base.
  • Textured Polyester or Microsuede Covers - Our Joey comes in two different, machine washable covers! Which one is right for you? Read more bellow.
    • Textured Polyester: the perfect fabric to handle the everyday rigors of your little while providing the look and feel all us grownups are used to! 
      1. Grownup Aesthetics: more pleasing to the grownup eye, our texture polyester is a parent favourite for a reason! 
      2. YKK Zippers: top-of-the-line zippers that zip like butta. 🧈
      3. PU-Backing*: A thin layer of polyurethane sewn into the back to provide support against spills and messes. 
      • Single-Brushed Microsuede: our standard, original fabric is known for its silky softness, strain resistance, shrink resistance, pet friendliness, and more! The perfect cover for your play couch! 
      • Waterproof Cover (Not Pictured) - We all know kids spill things, so all JBs are lined with our waterproof covers, which are easy to wipe down and protect your foam. 

      We know how important it is to keep your kids safe, so we wouldn't sell something our own children don't play on. The JB is:

      • Free of formaldehyde, phthalates, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals.
      • Low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), so no weird smells and no lowered air quality.
      • Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEPC flame retardants.
      • Made without ozone deleters and is environmentally Innovative. 
      • Made by a foam manufacturer who is listed on the CertiPUR-US website.
