Roo & You Inc. Official Giveaway Rules

1. PROMOTION PERIOD:

Roo & You Inc. (“Sponsor”) hosts various promotional giveaways (each, a “Promotion”), each of which runs as described in the official giveaway posts on:

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and Canada, who are the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence as of the date of entry. Entrants who are below the age of majority may enter but must have the permission of their parent or legal guardian in order to enter the Promotion. Employees, directors, managers, officers, agents, and representatives of Roo & You Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members or individuals residing in the same household are NOT eligible to participate.

The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

3. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES:

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Roo & You Inc., which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein, and as set forth in the Instagram, Facebook or other social media post that details the entry requirements for the applicable Promotion.

4. HOW TO ENTER:

Entrants may enter the giveaway during the Promotion Period by following the specific instructions provided in the official giveaway posts on:

Limit: Unless otherwise specified, only one entry per person is permitted unless stated otherwise in the giveaway terms. Any attempt to submit multiple entries using different identities, email addresses, or automated means may result in disqualification. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or not in compliance with these Official Rules will be void.

5. PRIZES:

The prize details, including description and quantity, are listed in the official giveaway posts on Instagram or the Facebook Group.

If there is a cash prize, or if any cash prize is described as a contribution to a registered bank account, the direction of funds to such an account is the winner’s sole prerogative and discretion.

Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranties or guarantees by Roo & You Inc., either express or implied. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent of the prize is permitted, except at Roo & You Inc.'s discretion. If the prize is unavailable, Roo & You Inc. reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

Taxes and Fees: Any applicable federal, state, or local taxes, fees, and expenses associated with claiming or using the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Shipping fees, if any, will be covered by Roo & You Inc. unless otherwise stated.

Resale Prohibition: The resale, transfer, or auction of any items obtained through this giveaway is strictly prohibited. Winners found in violation of this policy will be permanently disqualified from future promotions.

6. WINNER SELECTION AND ODDS OF WINNING:

A random drawing will be conducted by Roo & You Inc. or its designated representative on or about the drawing date articulated in the applicable Promotion post on the applicable social media platform from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The potential winner(s) will be notified via email, direct message on social media, or other available contact information. The winner must respond within five (5) business days from the date the notification is sent or the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected through another random drawing.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND CLAIMING THE PRIZE:

The winner(s) will be notified by email, direct message, or other available contact method within ten (10) business days of the drawing date.

To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must:

  1. Respond within five (5) business days of being contacted by Roo & You Inc. If no response is received within this time, the winner will be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected.
  2. Correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.
  3. Complete all prize claim requirements within ten (10) business days from the date of the initial notification. This includes signing and returning a declaration of compliance, a release of liability, and a publicity release if requested.

Failure to meet these requirements within the specified timeframe may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

By entering the Promotion, entrants release and discharge Roo & You Inc., its affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising out of participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize(s).

The Released Parties are not responsible for:

  • Lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or incomplete entries.
  • Email or direct message notifications that are lost due to spam filters, incorrect contact details, or technical failures.
  • Technical, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind.
  • Errors in the administration of the Promotion or the announcement of the prize(s).

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Roo & You Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion if, in its opinion, it is impaired or incapable of running as planned due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond its control.

Roo & You Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or violating these Official Rules. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law. Roo & You Inc. reserves the right to seek damages and pursue other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

By accepting a prize, winner agrees to Sponsor's use of his/her name, city/province of residence, picture, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness in any advertising and publicity Sponsor and its respective successors, assigns and licensees may conduct relating to the Promotion in any media or format, any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice, and hereby releases the Sponsor from any liability with respect thereto.

The failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media app or site where the Promotion may appear, nor is it sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any third party brand that may appear on the Prizes. By entering, you completely release all third parties of all liability in connection with this Promotion.

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned and no correspondence will be made with or entered into except with selected entrant(s). By participating in the Promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promotion Entities have not made, with respect to each of their own products/services provided as a prize or part thereof (if applicable), any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the prize and specifically disclaim all such warranties, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. All entries and prize claims are subject to verification. Proof of entry submission does not constitute proof of receipt. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Decisions of Sponsor will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Promotion. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Official Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner may be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her prize, or the cash value thereof.  WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the person who submitted any entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at registration will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an access provider, service provider, or other person or organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the account associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

10. PRIVACY

By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for administering the Promotion and related purposes in accordance with Roo & You Inc.’s Privacy Policy located at https://rooandyou.ca/policies/privacy-policy. Any personal data provided will be processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES:

These Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.

12. WINNERS LIST:

For transparency and legal compliance, the list of winners (if legally required) will be made available for up to 120 days after the drawing date. To request the list of winners, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope or email request to:
